Unashamed Conviction and the Freedom to Choose
At ETGF we hold our beliefs without apology — and we hold your freedom to disagree with equal respect. Here is why both things are true at the same time, and why we believe one does not cancel the other.
There is a question that comes up often when people first encounter End Time Gospel Fellowship, and it is a fair one: "If you are so convinced your beliefs are true, how can you genuinely respect someone who believes differently?"
It is a good question. And we want to answer it honestly, because the answer matters — not just for how we present ourselves, but for how we treat every person who walks through our doors, tunes in to our broadcasts, or joins our community online.
What "Unashamed" Means — and What It Does Not
When we say we are unashamed believers in the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God, we are making a statement about our own convictions. We are not making a statement about yours.
Being unashamed means we will not hide what we believe to avoid an awkward conversation. It means we will not soften the message of the gospel to make it more palatable to a culture that finds it inconvenient. It means we believe the gospel is true — not as one option among many equally valid options, but as the truth that has the power to change lives.
What it does not mean is that we believe we have the right to force that conviction on anyone else. We do not. No one does.
The Freedom to Choose Is Sacred
One of the most remarkable things about the gospel itself is that it has always been an invitation, never a demand. Yeshua (Jesus) did not compel anyone to follow Him. He called. He taught. He demonstrated. And then He let people decide.
Some followed. Some walked away. He let them walk.
That pattern is not incidental — it is the very nature of genuine faith. Belief that is coerced is not belief at all. A person who says "I believe" because they were pressured, shamed, or manipulated into saying it has not truly believed anything. Real faith is a free choice, made by a free person, in response to truth they have genuinely encountered.
This means that the freedom to not believe is not a threat to the gospel. It is built into the gospel's own design.
We Respect Your Right to Decide
At ETGF, we hold the following positions simultaneously — and we do not find them contradictory:
- We believe the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and that it offers the only path to salvation and eternal life.
- We believe every human being has the God-given right to hear that message and make their own decision about it.
- We believe that decision — whatever it is — belongs entirely to the individual, and we will not hold it against them.
- We believe our role is to proclaim, not to pressure; to invite, not to intimidate; to love, not to condemn.
If you have heard the gospel and chosen not to accept it, we do not view you as an enemy. We view you as a person made in the image of Almighty Yahweh, with a mind and a will of your own, who has made a choice we respect — even as we continue to hope and pray that one day you might reconsider.
Conviction Without Contempt
The world has largely been taught that strong conviction and genuine respect cannot coexist. That if you truly believe something is true, you must look down on those who disagree. Or conversely, that if you truly respect others, you must treat all beliefs as equally valid.
We reject both of those assumptions.
You can believe something deeply and still treat those who disagree with dignity. You can hold a conviction without holding contempt. You can share your faith without shaming those who do not share it. In fact, we would argue that this is the only way to share the gospel faithfully — because the gospel itself is a message of love, not of superiority.
An Open Door
Whether you are a lifelong believer, someone who is still searching, or someone who has decided faith is not for you — you are welcome here. We will not pretend we do not believe what we believe. But we will also never make you feel unwelcome, judged, or lesser for where you are on your journey.
The door is open. Come as you are. Decide for yourself. That is the only kind of faith worth having.
